Originally, I am from Rockville, Maryland and moved to Los angeles in 1986. Growing up in the 60’s and 70’s, I was always fascinated with Cartoons, TV and Movies. I spent most of my childhood drawing and enjoying my very vivid imagination. After graduating High School, I worked as a Graphic Artist and freelance Cartoonist as I put myself through College as a Theater Major. Within a month after finishing College, I moved to LA and work came via Aerospace doing Technical Illustration, Graphics and Cartoons. Mind you, this was all back in the day when it was all done by hand without the advent of computers.
As for the “Acting Biz,” I had no idea where to start, so I began attending Casting Director workshops. They were way different back in the late 80’s and early 90’s. They actually worked quite well for myself, and many of my friends. AFTRA was my first Union, which led to Soap Opera work – which made me eligible for SAG, which I joined in 1990 for “only” $899. Yeah, yeah… Sorry. I know how much it is now… but back then it was a worthy chunk o’ change.
I quit Aerospace. Well, truth be told: they quit me due to major layoffs back then.
After that (to make a long story short), Acting jobs increased, Screenwriting happened and back injuries occurred (from doing most of my own stunts). In the middle of all of that, I owned and operated a Management Company and can proudly say that I helped a lot of Actors and was responsible for creating some nice careers along the way. Coaching my Client Actors back then was pretty much how all of this got started.
So there you have it in a nutshell.
I’m not going to bother listing all of my Credits or post my Resume with a bunch of Demo Reels to blow my own horn. All of that can easily be found online and ultimately, this is really about you and not me… Right?
